What you get

Everything handled for you

We don't ship you a box of parts — we build a complete, working system, test it, then send it to you finished.

01 Speed

Import your shoot without waiting on the internet

Local transfers are dramatically faster than cloud uploads — because your files never leave your home network. No upload caps, no cloud queues, no babysitting progress bars.

No internet bottleneck
Cloud uploads are limited by your ISP's upload speed. Local transfers aren't — for most photographers, that's the difference between hours and much less.
Wired is fastest, Wi-Fi works too
Plug your laptop straight into the NAS via ethernet for the quickest transfers. Wi-Fi is supported and still beats the cloud.
An archive that stays organized as it grows
Organize by year, client, and shoot so your library stays clean and searchable no matter how large it gets.

02 Protection

Your archive stays safe even when hardware fails

Your files are protected across multiple drives — so a single failure never costs you a shoot, a client, or years of work.

Your photos survive a failed drive
Multiple drives work together so your archive stays intact even if one fails — no intervention needed on your part.
Recovery without panic
If a drive dies, you replace it and your system rebuilds. Your files stay intact the whole time.
Power goes out — your system shuts down safely
Every Vault includes a battery backup so your system powers down cleanly during outages, protecting your drives from corruption.

03 Access

Your archive. Your hardware. Access from anywhere.

Browse and pull files from your full library on any device, 24/7 — without paying a subscription to access photos you already own.

Pull any file from your archive on your phone or laptop — on location, traveling, or just across the house.
Stop paying monthly just to reach your own photos
Your library lives on hardware you own — not behind a subscription that climbs every year.
Ready to use out of the box
Folders organized, remote access working, protection verified — all done before it ships. You plug it in and it's already running.

The honest comparison

Why not just use the cloud?

Cloud storage works — until your library grows, your bill climbs, or you need to move a 50GB shoot fast.

The bottom line
Cloud works for occasional small files. It breaks down for professional photographers managing terabytes of raw work they need fast and forever.

External drives are a great start, but they come with real limitations — no redundancy means a single failure can wipe your entire archive, transfers require physically plugging in every time, and there's no remote access. A HavenVault NAS gives you all the benefits of local storage with RAID protection, wireless transfers over your home network, and secure access from anywhere.
Every HavenVault system is configured with RAID redundancy. That means your data is automatically mirrored across multiple drives. If one drive fails, your photos remain safe and the system continues running while the drive is replaced.
Yes. Remote access is configured before your Vault ships. You'll be able to securely reach your archive from your laptop, tablet or phone without exposing your files publicly on the internet.
No. HavenVault is designed for photographers, not IT professionals. Everything is configured and tested before your Vault ships, so setup is: place it, plug it in, and run one labelled cable to your internet router. A printed card walks you through it, and you can text us at any point.
Local transfers are dramatically faster than cloud uploads because files move directly over your home or studio network. Many photographers experience near-instant imports compared to hours or days uploading large photo sets online.
Only the easy part. Your Vault arrives fully built, configured and tested — there is nothing to assemble and no software to install. You place it, plug the battery backup into the wall, plug the Vault into the battery backup, and run the cable marked NETWORK — ROUTER into any spare socket on your internet router. Press power, wait for the light to turn green. Most people are done in about ten minutes.
No — and you won't need to type one either. The Vault connects to your network with a cable straight into your router, so there is no password to enter and none for us to ask for or store. Your files live on hardware you own, and they never pass through us.
Anywhere in the continental US. Your Vault is built and tested by hand in Ogden, Utah, then packed and shipped to your door — so where you live doesn't change what you get. Alaska, Hawaii and outside the US aren't standard yet; email us and we'll tell you honestly where things stand.
Just a quick note about your current setup — how much storage you're working with, how you organize shoots, and what's frustrating about your workflow now. From there we'll recommend the right package and answer any questions. No sales pressure, no obligation.
Every Vault includes a 1-year HavenVault protection plan. Text or call and we'll work through it with you — most things are solved in a couple of messages. For drive failures, RAID keeps your files safe: you swap the drive and we walk you through the rebuild. After year one, optional support plans are available.
